Abstract

The Holy Quran has the honor of being protected, taught, taught and interpreted the most among all the divine books. Exegesis of the Holy Qur'an is the best work. This article analyzes the opinions of commentators about the definition of exegesis. The difference between tafsir and taweel is explained. Among the types of Tafsir, Tafsir Bil Ma’saur’ is of primary importance. In contrast to this, Tafsir Bil-Raye (Opinion) also includes the analysis of the sayings of commentators. The majority of commentators consider Tafsir Bil-Raye legitimate if this Tafsir is in accordance with the rules and principles of Tafsir, it is called Tafsir Bil-Raye Mahmud and its in comparison, Tafsir Bil-Raye is reprehensible. In which the rules and principles of interpretation are not followed. All commentators do not consider such an interpretation to be valid and some commentators do not consider both Tafsir Bil-Raye Mahmud and Tafsir Bil-Raye Masmoom to be valid.

The analysis of the arguments of the proponents of justification and invalidity of Tafsir Bil-Raye is also a part of the article. 15 sciences must be known for a commentator before writing a commentary. The sciences related to the Arabic language and its rules and grammar are included.

Similarly, the details of representative and important interpretations of Tafsir Bil-Raye have also been described and the attributes of the commentator must be adorned with morals such as sincerity, piety and modesty.

In this article, the need and importance of Tafsir Bil-Raye has been proved with rational arguments.
