Children’s Rights in Islam, Parental Duties and the Effects of Neglecting Rights: A Detailed Study
Abstract
This study explores the Islamic perspective on children's rights and parental responsibilities, focusing on the implications of neglecting these rights. In Islam, children are considered a blessing and a significant trust from Allah, making the fulfillment of their rights a fundamental duty for parents. The research examines Quranic verses and Hadith that highlight the importance of children's rights and parental obligations, as well as the consequences of failing to uphold these duties. The paper delves into various dimensions of these rights, including the right to proper upbringing, education, and emotional care, and how neglect can impact family dynamics and societal well-being. By analyzing both religious texts and contemporary examples, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Islamic teachings on children's rights and the broader social and moral repercussions of disregarding them. The findings underscore the critical role of adhering to Islamic principles in ensuring the well-being of children and maintaining family harmony.
